Love Thy Neighbor Project - Good Samaritan CPR/AED/First Aid Classes
In the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) Jesus tells a parable to a lawyer to teach him who are our neighbors. In the story told by Jesus, a man is robbed and beaten. Three men come upon him. The first two are religious men who provide no aid and leave the suffering man. The third man is a Samaritan, and Samaritans are despised by the ancient Israelites. Yet it is the Samarian that offers aid to the beaten and robbed man, takes him to an inn, and pays his bill. When Jesus asks the lawyer who the man's neighbor is, the lawyer answers, "The man who gave aid." Jesus responds to the lawyer, "Go and do likewise."
